Husband of Central Java DPRD Member Shot by Unknown Assailant in Pekalongan
The husband of Nur Fatwah, a member of Commission A of the Central Java Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD Jateng), Amat Muzakhim (55), alias Boim, was shot by an unknown individual (OTK) at his home on Saturday (14 February) around 21:10 WIB. According to Boim's account, the incident occurred while he was sitting on the terrace of his house with a friend. The perpetrator, riding a scooter, entered the yard of the house. Boim initially thought the individual was a friend or a courier delivering a package.
"The incident happened around 21:10 WIB. The perpetrator arrived on a black Vario scooter with its licence plate covered in white plastic. He turned around in front of the house, then looked towards me and fired a single shot," Boim told detik Jateng, as reported on Sunday (15 February).
Boim stated that the perpetrator was about 10 metres away when he fired. The shot was aimed at him but missed, hitting the house instead, after which the perpetrator fled on the scooter. "Yes, the shot was directed at me. It was aimed, but it wobbled and missed, striking the house. It was about 10 metres away," said Boim. "There was just one shot, and the sound of the blast was loud. I initially thought about chasing him, but remembering I was unarmed and the shooter had a pistol, I decided against it."
Boim, a resident of Dukuh Capgawen in Kedungwuni Timur, Kedungwuni District, Pekalongan Regency, described the perpetrator as approximately 170 cm tall, with his face unrecognisable due to a helmet and mask. He also noted that the scooter's licence plate was covered. Boim said he did not recognise the individual.
Boim explained that he had no significant conflicts but mentioned that he was currently assisting in a kidnapping case involving a martabak vendor. "I don't have many activities at the moment. What I'm focused on is still assisting with the ongoing kidnapping incident at the provincial police headquarters, where suspects have already been identified. That's my main focus," he said. "It's the kidnapping of a martabak vendor. From what I've observed, it seems to be a case of mistaken identity or misinformation during the regional elections."
Boim has reported the incident to the police, and a crime scene investigation has been conducted. The inquiry is being aided by CCTV footage. Pekalongan Police Chief AKBP Rachmad C Yusuf stated that his team is still processing the scene. For now, a 1 cm silver metal projectile has been found in the area of Boim's garage. From the crime scene analysis, the firing point was approximately 9.5 metres from where the victim was sitting. "Yes, we received the report, and last night we went straight to the location and processed the scene," Rachmad said at Boim's house.
