Husband Kidnapped by Israel: Republika Journalist's Wife Speaks Out

Republika journalist Bambang Noroyono is among the victims abducted by Zionist Israel. The veteran reporter, often known as Abeng, was abducted alongside other Global Sumud Flotilla volunteers.

Bambang Noroyono’s wife, Denisa Tristianty, said she had heard of the abduction. She is currently awaiting direct updates from the relevant authorities and hopes her husband is in good health.

‘I, on behalf of my wife and the family of Republika reporter Bambang Noroyono, also known as Abeng, will continue to await news of my dear husband’s condition. May Abeng always be under the protection of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala,’ she said, on Tuesday, 19 May 2026.

She could only remind that the Government of the Republic of Indonesia should never abandon Gaza-Palestine. She also hopes the government protects all Indonesian citizens (WNI) who number nine people as participants in Global Sumud Flotilla 2.0 (2026).

‘Republika has assigned two journalists and we hope to meet again soon in good health. The other is Republika photographer Thoudy Badai,’ she added.

‘To the Indonesian people, blessings to you who have not grown tired of supporting Gaza-Palestine so that it can be freed from Zionist Israeli occupation. Thank you; your eyes and thoughts continue to be directed toward humanitarian reporting for Gaza-Palestine.’
