Husband and Son of Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq Allegedly Benefited from Corruption, Here Is the Explanation
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said PT Raja Nusantara Berdaya (RNB), which is linked to the case of alleged corruption involving suspect Fadia Arafiq (FAR), was founded by the husband and the child of the Pekalongan Regent. ‘ASH, who is the Regent’s husband and a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2024-2029 period, together with brother MSA, who is the Regent’s child and a member of the Pekalongan Regency DPRD for the 2024-2029 period, were found to have established a company named PT RNB,’ KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Asep Guntur Rahayu said at the Red and White Building of the KPK in Jakarta on Wednesday. ASH is identified as a member of Commission X of the DPR RI, Mukhtaruddin Ashraff Abu, while MSA is a member of the Pekalongan Regency DPRD, Muhammad Sabiq Ashraff. Further, Asep said PT RNB was founded by Ashraff and Sabiq in 2022, one year after Fadia Arafiq was inaugurated as Pekalongan Regent for the 2021-2025 period. ‘In the corporate structure, ASH serves as Commissioner of PT RNB, while MSA has served as Director for the 2022-2024 period,’ he noted. Then in 2024, Fadia Arafiq, the beneficiary of the company, decided to change the Directorship of PT RNB from Sabiq to Ms. RUL. RUL is known to be an employee and confidant of Fadia Arafiq, namely Rul Bayatun. Meanwhile, Asep explained that PT RNB plays a role in winning outsourcing services or manpower provision projects across several government units within the Pekalongan Regency administration. He said PT RNB began securing procurement projects after a year of operation, spanning 2023-2026. ‘Here, conflicts begin to emerge. Merely forming a company is not a problem; but when a public official has a company or aligns with one, and family members actively participate as vendors for goods and services at the office, that marks the start of the issue,’ he said. Earlier, on 3 March 2026, the KPK announced a series of arrests during Ramadan, which was the seventh arrest operation (OTT) of the year. The KPK said it arrested Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq, along with aides and trusted associates, in the Semarang area, Central Java.
