The Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that the husband and the children of Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq (FAR) received funds from suspected acts of corruption totaling Rp13.7 billion during 2023-2026. FAR received Rp5.5 billion, ASH as the husband of the regent Rp1.1 billion, MSA as the regent’s child Rp4.6 billion, and MHN as the regent’s child Rp2.5 billion. These individuals are identified as Mukhtaruddin Ashraff Abu (ASH), a member of the X Commission of the House of Representatives (DPR RI); Muhammad Sabiq Ashraff (MSA), a member of Pekalongan Regency DPRD; and Mehnaz Na (MHN). The family is also said to have received around Rp5.3 billion, bringing the total receipt to Rp19 billion. However, Rp5.3 billion was later distributed to Rul Bayatun (RUL), Director of PT Raja Nusantara Berjaya, as a trusted person of Fadia Arafiq, amounting to Rp2.3 billion, with the remaining Rp3 billion still in cash withdrawals or not yet distributed. On 3 March 2026, KPK arrested Fadia Arafiq along with aides and trusted associates in Semarang, Central Java. Subsequently, KPK announced eleven other arrests from Pekalongan, Central Java. The string of arrests forms part of the seventh OTT operation by KPK in 2026, coinciding with Ramadan. On 4 March 2026, KPK named Fadia Arafiq as the sole suspect in alleged corruption related to outsourcing services or manpower outsourcing, and other procurement in the Pekalongan Regency Government for the 2023-2026 fiscal year.
