Hurrah! Tax Penalties in West Lombok Waived from 15 April to 30 June 2026
The West Lombok Regency Government (Pemkab) is waiving local tax penalties to commemorate the 68th anniversary of West Lombok. The policy will apply from 15 April to 30 June 2026.
West Lombok Regent Lalu Ahmad Zaini (LAZ) stated that the programme serves as a form of relief for the community to fulfil their tax obligations without the burden of penalties.
“This is part of a gift for the people of West Lombok. We want the community to be able to settle their obligations without being burdened by penalties,” he said on Friday (17/4/2026).
He hopes this policy will encourage the public to promptly pay off their tax arrears, while simultaneously increasing regional revenue without burdening taxpayers.
“No matter the amount of the arrears, please pay just the principal. We will waive the penalties within the specified period,” he explained.
According to him, tax payment is a form of public participation in regional development. He noted that the government cannot work alone without the support of all community elements.
“This development must be carried out together. Not just the government, but all community elements must also participate,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of the West Lombok Regional Revenue Agency (Bappenda), Aria Damarwulan, explained that the programme applies to all types of local taxes under the regency’s authority.
These taxes include Land and Building Tax (PBB), hotel tax, restaurant tax, entertainment tax, advertising tax, and other local taxes.
“All taxpayers with arrears can take advantage of this programme,” he clarified.
