Moscow (ANTARA) - The Hungarian National Police Headquarters will form a national command as well as operational commands for rapid response units and regional headquarters for the elections taking place on 12 April. βOn election day, the police will form a national command as well as operational commands for rapid response units and the Budapest police headquarters and regions,β the Hungarian police stated in a statement on Friday (10/4). The police will carry out their duties with the necessary strength and resources and independently of any political party influence. Police presence around polling stations will be ensured from one day before the elections until election day. Maintaining order at polling stations is the responsibility of the local committee chairman. However, if the committee requests intervention, the police are obliged to take action, the police said.
