Hundreds of Traffic Violators in Jakarta Captured by Handheld E-TLE, Immediately Enforced

The Subdirectorate of Traffic Law Enforcement under the Metro Jaya Regional Police Traffic Directorate carried out enforcement of violations at several points within the jurisdiction of the Metro Jaya Police. The enforcement was conducted using handheld e-TLE devices to record every violation detected.

Deputy Head of the Subdirectorate of Traffic Law Enforcement, AKBP Ojo Ruslani, explained that the violation enforcement activity took place today, Thursday (23/4/2026). Various violations were addressed, ranging from motorcyclists not wearing helmets to illegal parking.

“Violations include not wearing a helmet, not having a number plate, covering the number plate, carrying more than one passenger, and parking haphazardly,” Ojo stated to reporters on Thursday (23/4).

Ojo reported that from the enforcement results, a total of 471 violations were captured by the handheld e-TLE. Subsequently, the number of validated or genuinely occurring violations amounted to 296.

Meanwhile, Ojo continued, the number confirmed from the capture and validation results reached 201 violations.

“The captured amount refers to violations recorded, validated are the capture results deemed valid, and sent are those validated and then entered into the national e-TLE system. These figures are continuously updating, in real-time according to the system’s operation,” he said.
