Hundreds of Padang Residents Join Anti-LGBT Declaration

Residents took part in a campaign and anti-LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) declaration in Padang, West Sumatra, on Sunday (21/6/2026). The West Sumatra Provincial Government, the West Sumatra Regional Police, and the Minangkabau Customary Density Institute (LKAAM) invited the entire community to join the anti-LGBT declaration by signing a one-kilometre white cloth and committing to take action against offenders using customary law, as well as to eradicate or expel them from the Minang homeland.
