Hundreds of mourners attend arrival of KPAI Chair's body in Jombang

Hundreds of mourners attended the arrival of the body of Margaret Aliyatul Maimunah, Chair of the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) and Chair of the Central Leadership of Fatayat Nahdlatul Ulama, at the Al Bishri dormitory of Mamba’ul Ma’arif Islamic boarding school in Denanyar, Jombang, East Java, on Sunday, 1 March 2026.

Margaret Aliyatul Maimunah died at age 47 at Fatmawati Hospital in Jakarta on 1 March 2026 at 08:25 Western Indonesian Time following medical treatment for illness.

Residents carried the coffin containing her body for the funeral procession at the Al Bishri dormitory in Jombang. East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa paid her respects at the funeral service.
