Hundreds of motorcycles caught in valve core removal operation in Daan Mogot area

Joint officers from the West Jakarta Transportation Agency carried out a valve core removal operation targeting around 150 motorcycles parked illegally in the area of Hermina Hospital on Daan Mogot, Kalideres. Agus Prasetyo, Head of Operations for the West Jakarta Transportation Agency, said that during the enforcement action on Wednesday (10/6), officers also impounded eight motorcycles and detained three illegal parking attendants near the Daan Mogot Mall. “In this operation, we removed the valve cores from approximately 150 two-wheeled vehicles, impounded eight motorcycles, and secured three illegal parking attendants,” Agus stated when contacted in Jakarta on Thursday. He mentioned that owners of the impounded motorcycles are required to sign a statement letter pledging not to park their vehicles in prohibited locations. “The three illegal parking attendants who were detained have been taken to the Panti Sosial Kedoya institution for rehabilitation,” said Agus. He further explained that the enforcement action was taken following numerous public complaints about illegal parking disrupting the smooth flow of traffic in the area. “This enforcement is a direct follow-up to public reports regarding rampant haphazard parking at the location, which is encroaching onto the road shoulder,” Agus revealed. The agency appealed to the public to park their vehicles in designated areas to maintain order and ensure the smooth flow of traffic in the Kalideres area.
