Banyuwangi (ANTARA) - Hundreds of logistics trucks heading to Gilimanuk Port in Jembrana Regency, Bali Province, via Ketapang Port in Banyuwangi Regency, East Java, are held up and queuing for up to 12 hours.

From observations, until Sunday, 29 March 2026 at 05.15 WIB, logistics trucks are queuing along the arterial road from Sri Tanjung Terminal to the entrance of Ketapang Port, because the buffer zone or parking area in Bulusan is full.

“I have been queuing since Saturday (28/3) afternoon at 17.00 WIB and was directed to park in the buffer zone at Sri Tanjung Terminal, and until this morning I still cannot cross,” said Subito, one of the logistics truck drivers in front of the entrance to Ketapang Port, Banyuwangi, on Sunday.

“I have been queuing for 12 hours, they said if more than six hours we get food and drink from the port, but we did not receive that,” Subito added.

Previously, PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Ketapang Branch stated that it prioritises private cars and buses on the Ketapang (Banyuwangi)-Gilimanuk (Bali) route to maintain the smooth flow of the 2026 Lebaran return traffic.

“There is no limit, but according to the regulations, if the return traffic crossing is busy, we direct logistics trucks to the buffer zone at Bulusan Dock parking or Sri Tanjung Terminal, Pusri, but if it is not busy they can be loaded directly,” he said.
