Hundreds of Illegal Swiftlet Nest Businesses in Lhokseumawe Sealed by Authorities

Joint teams are documenting unlicensed swiftlet nest business premises in central Lhokseumawe, Aceh, on Tuesday (7 April 2026). The Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office and Labour Department, the Regional Finance Management Agency’s Local Original Revenue Division, and the local Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) are cracking down on 118 swiftlet businesses that lack a Business Identification Number (NIB) and Veterinary Control Number (NKV). The objective is to create business orderliness, provide legal certainty, safeguard environmental and public health, and increase local original revenue (PAD).
