Hundreds of elderly residents in Pulau Harapan Village, North Seribu Islands District, participated in health check-up activities at the Elderly Posyandu (Integrated Healthcare Centre) as an effort to detect diseases and maintain health in old age.

“A total of 204 elderly individuals underwent a series of examinations, including routine health checks, blood pressure monitoring, health consultations, and education on healthy lifestyles for the elderly,” said the Secretary of Pulau Harapan Village, Abdul Hafizh, in Jakarta on Monday.

He stated that the Elderly Posyandu activities are held regularly as an effort to improve healthcare services and early disease detection for elderly residents in the local area.

Abdul emphasised that Pulau Harapan Village strongly supports this elderly health programme so that those at high risk of disease can be detected earlier, allowing for rapid anticipatory measures and treatment.

He noted that the Elderly Posyandu programme is conducted once a week to ensure the health conditions of elderly residents are well-monitored.

He also expressed hope that the elderly residents of Pulau Harapan Village can live healthier, more active lives and that their health conditions continue to improve.

Meanwhile, one of the elderly participants, Hasmariah (65), expressed her gratitude and found the regular healthcare services very helpful.

“Alhamdulillah, activities like this are very beneficial for us elderly people, as we can regularly check our health and receive guidance from health workers,” said Hasmariah.
