Hun Sen visits Thailand
BANGKOK (AFP): Cambodian Second Prime Minister Hun Sen was to
hold talks with Thai Foreign Minister Krasae Chanawongse
yesterday before meeting with businessmen in a bid to drum up
investment in his country.
Hun Sen, who arrived here on Wednesday, accompanied by his
ministers for defense, economy and finance, industry, agriculture
and tourism, is expected to issue a joint statement with Thai
authorities, a Cambodian diplomat said.
His talks with Krasae are likely to focus on settling border
problems through a recently-established joint commission.
The two Cambodian co-defense ministers, Tea Banh and Tea
Chamras, met with Thai Defense Minister Vichit Sookmark to
discuss military cooperation, the source said.
Hun Sen on Wednesday met with Thai Prime Minister Chuan
Leekpai for 90 minutes and said bilateral relations had reached a
"new era."
