Hun Sen to visit RP next week

MANILA (AP): Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen will make a
state visit to the Philippines to cement ties with a fellow
member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, officials
said on Friday.

Cambodian and Philippine officials will sign several bilateral
agreements covering trade, investments, tourism and visa
exemption during Hun Sen's Aug. 16-19 visit, Press Undersecretary
Mike Toledo said.

The two countries also will establish a joint commission on
bilateral cooperation, Toledo said.

Hun Sen will visit the International Rice Research Institute
and Subic Bay Freeport, a former U.S. naval base that has been
converted into an industrial and tourism zone, Toledo said.
