Humpuss' naphtha exports down
JAKARTA (JP): Petrochemical company PT Humpuss Aromatik
Lhoksemawe's naphtha exports fell 40 percent to 337,392 tons in
the second quarter of the year, from 473,897 tons in the first
quarter of the year, due to depressed demand.
Head of Aceh province's industry and trade office Cipta Hunai
said the company had buyers in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, China,
Singapore and Thailand.
But, its buyers in China made no order in the second quarter
of the year, Cipta was quoted by Antara as saying.
He said the company had received earnings of US$45.74 million
from the naphtha exports for the second quarter of the year.
Based in Lhoksemawe, Aceh, the company is controlled by former
President Soeharto's son Hutomo Mandala Putra. (jsk)
