Humanitarian Aid Continues to Flow for Natural Disaster Victims in NTT

PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA), through Bakti BCA, in cooperation with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), has dispatched humanitarian aid for victims of the natural disaster in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). The aid was sent to ease the burden on NTT residents affected by the 7.7-magnitude earthquake on Saturday (15/8).

The handover of aid from Bakti BCA took place at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, on Sunday (16/8), with BCA Vice President Titi Yusnarti presenting it to Colonel Inf Agus Setiandar, Paban Bakti Ster Mabes TNI.

The aid distributed includes medicines, toddler underwear, nappies, blankets, tents, and portable beds. Distribution was carried out by Bakti BCA in coordination with the local government and the TNI/Polri.

“BCA empathises with residents affected by the disaster and extends its condolences to the victims of the natural disaster in NTT. We hope the recovery process and handling of the disaster’s impact proceed smoothly and swiftly by various parties, from the government, the public, the TNI, the Polri, and the private sector. BCA hopes the situation in NTT will soon recover and return to normal,” said BCA EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility Hera F Haryn.

Aid from BCA is being channelled to support the needs and ease the burden of NTT residents during the recovery period. BCA continues to monitor the situation in NTT and its surroundings.

BCA’s collaboration with the TNI was undertaken so that aid distribution can reach affected communities at the destination. The TNI’s extensive and proven capabilities and network can accelerate disaster response across various terrains.

BCA also confirmed that the disaster in NTT has not affected the operations of the company’s branch offices in the province. All company employees in the affected area are safe.
