Jakarta - Human Initiative’s Sebar Qurban 2026 programme has concluded, reaching 204,184 beneficiaries across 547 villages, 129 districts and seven countries. The achievement was announced at the closing ceremony on Saturday, 30 May, which also served as an opportunity to thank donors, partners, livestock farmers, volunteers, communities, and all parties involved.

Human Initiative President Tomy Hendrajati stated on Sunday in Jakarta that support from various stakeholders enabled the qurban to be distributed effectively to those in need, particularly in remote areas with limited access to nutritious food.

‘We extend our deepest gratitude to all donors, partners, livestock farmers, volunteers, communities, companies, and everyone who supported the Sebar Qurban 2026 programme. Their contributions ensured the qurban was distributed effectively to those in need,’ he said.

He added that the programme was designed to extend the benefits of qurban to communities with limited access to animal protein.

During implementation, Human Initiative collaborated with 238 local livestock farmers across various regions, distributing 2,241 cattle and 5,527 sheep to beneficiaries.

Beyond benefiting communities, the programme also strengthened the sustainable qurban ecosystem by empowering local farmers.

Human Initiative documented several beneficiary stories, including families enjoying nutritious meals despite economic hardship, disabled santri participating in cooking sessions using qurban meat, and communities in eastern Indonesia gaining access to animal protein through distribution.

These experiences are part of efforts to foster social compassion and expand the reach of qurban to those in need.

Although the Sebar Qurban 2026 programme has concluded, Human Initiative will continue its humanitarian and community empowerment initiatives to deliver lasting social impact.
