Jakarta (ANTARA) - The humanitarian organisation Human Initiative (HI) has launched the Sebar Qurban 2026 programme in Telaga Banyak Village, Bayan Subdistrict, North Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), targeting 309,000 beneficiaries.

“In 2026, the Sebar Qurban programme aims to reach around 309,000 beneficiaries. The distribution will cover 27 provinces, 134 districts/cities, and 145 regions in Indonesia,” said Human Initiative Vice President Romi Ardiansyah in Jakarta on Thursday.

This launch serves as an initial step in connecting the potential of local livestock farmers with the needs of communities across various regions.

Romi explained that the programme, themed “Expand the Impact of Qurban”, encourages the public to view the qurban ritual not only as a form of spiritual devotion but also as a means to broaden social and economic benefits.

Qurban is considered to play an important role in strengthening food security while also driving economic activity at the local level.

In addition, Romi explained that the Sebar Qurban programme is designed to expand the impact of the qurban ritual through a more integrated approach.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Regent of North Lombok, Kusmalahadi Syamsuri, emphasised the importance of collaboration between the government, humanitarian organisations, and the community in addressing various social challenges.

“To address various challenges in society, we need collaboration with various parties, including Human Initiative as a strategic partner,” said Kusmalahadi.

His side also encouraged the public not only to be beneficiaries but to start participating in qurban through various available channels.

The launch event was filled with programme presentations, a symbolic ceremony, local cultural performances, and a talkshow featuring direct stories from livestock farmers and beneficiary communities.

Through these sessions, participants were invited to witness the real impact of qurban in everyday life.

In addition, the programme is also being extended to 11 countries abroad as part of efforts to broaden the reach of benefits on a global scale.

The selection of North Lombok Regency, particularly Bayan Subdistrict, as the kickoff location is based on the strong spirit of mutual cooperation among the local community and the significant potential of the local livestock sector that can be empowered.

Through this programme, Human Initiative hopes that the spirit of togetherness can continue to be built, so that the benefits of qurban are not only felt momentarily but also provide long-term impacts for the wider community.

Human Initiative also invites the public to participate in the Sebar Qurban 2026 Programme through the solusipeduli.org platform, as a simple step to bring broader and sustainable benefits to fellow humans.

The launch event was attended by around 200 participants consisting of Human Initiative management, the Deputy Regent of North Lombok along with regional apparatus, community figures, local livestock farmers, and local residents.

In addition to attending in person, the wider public can also follow the event series through live broadcasts on Human Initiative’s official channels.
