Hughes dreams of teaching kids

JAKARTA: Noted presenter Dewi Hughes still dreams of becoming
the next Ibu Kasur or Kak Seto -- both are known for their
dedication to children's education. She introduced her kids club
at her house in Kemang, South Jakarta.

"Our education system, until nowadays, is still one-way
communication. I give the kids tips on public speaking. They must
be able to tell stories about themselves," she said during her
Hughes Party House 10th anniversary last week.

"I pass on the know-how tips to the mothers and they convey
them to the children. Therefore, mothers have an important role
here."

Just like other Indonesian artists', Hughes' schedule is also
busy during the Ramadhan fasting month. Starting on Saturday, she
appeared in the Bincang-bincang Generasi Kreatif (Talk show with
creative generation) on ANteve at 3 a.m., while in the afternoon
she presents Bedug on MetroTV prior to the breaking of the fast.
