Huawei nova 16s Series offers capable cameras and battery

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Huawei has launched its new Huawei nova 16s Series of smartphones in Indonesia, comprising the nova 16s and nova 16s Pro. The devices feature slim designs and high-capacity batteries alongside capable cameras.

The Huawei nova 16s Pro has a 200MP RYYB main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, supported by True-to-Colour technology, while the nova 16s is equipped with a 50MP main camera featuring the same technology.

“With our bespoke True-to-Colour technology, you can capture outstanding photo detail while keeping colours accurate and true to life,” Huawei Device Indonesia Senior Retail Manager Edy Supartono said in Jakarta on Thursday.

The Huawei nova 16s Series also has a 200MP High Res mode, allowing users to crop a wide-angle photo into several new focal images without worrying about losing detail sharpness.

For selfies, both models have a 50MP Ultra Portrait front camera with a 1/2.5-inch sensor, supporting zoom from 0.8x to 5x.

Both phones also include artificial intelligence (AI) features for photo editing. Users can employ AI Move to reposition objects in photos, AI Composition to refine image layouts and AI Remove to erase unwanted objects, as well as features including AI De-glare and AI Best Expression.

Users can also make use of AI Gesture Control for touch-free navigation and AI Two-way Noise Cancellation to reduce background noise during calls.

The Huawei nova 16s Pro is powered by a Kirin 9010 chip, while the Huawei nova 16s uses a Kirin 8020 to support performance.

Both phones have displays with a 120Hz refresh rate. The nova 16s Pro’s screen has a peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits, while the nova 16s reaches 5,500 nits.

Both run EMUI 16 and are equipped with the IceBridge Heat Dissipation cooling system.

The Huawei nova 16s and nova 16s Pro each have a 7,000mAh battery and support 100W Huawei SuperCharge Turbo fast charging.

The nova 16s Pro is just 7.1mm thick and has a sturdy aluminium-alloy frame. Its screen is protected by Kunlun Glass, which Huawei says is impact- and wear-resistant.

The Huawei nova 16s Pro is available in Isle Blue and Starry Black, while the nova 16s comes in Breathing Crystal and Starry Black.

The Huawei nova 16s is priced at Rp11,999,000, while the Huawei nova 16s Pro costs Rp13,999,000.
