Huawei Nova 16 features 7,000mAh battery and satellite communication capabilities
Huawei has commenced sales of its Nova 16 series, which includes the Nova 16, Nova 16 Pro, and Nova 16 Ultra, in China on Friday local time. According to reports from Gizmochina, the standout features of the Nova 16 series include a 7,000mAh battery capacity and satellite communication capabilities.
All three handsets in the Nova 16 series utilise the Kirin 9010S processor and run on the HarmonyOS 6.1 operating system. Huawei has equipped all models with 7,000mAh batteries and support for 100W SuperCharge wired fast charging. Specifically, the Nova 16 Ultra includes 50W wireless charging support and 7.5W wireless reverse charging, allowing the device to act as a charger for other electronic gadgets.
The Nova 16 Pro and Nova 16 Ultra are equipped with a 200-megapixel RYYB main camera with image stabilisation, a 50-megapixel telephoto camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and Huawei’s Red Maple colour imaging sensor. The Nova 16 features a panel with a 120Hz refresh rate protected by aluminosilicate glass, while the Nova 16 Pro and Nova 16 Ultra utilise LTPO panels with an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz.
Huawei has introduced satellite communication features across all three models in the Nova 16 series, supported by the Beidou satellite messaging service. The Nova 16 Ultra further benefits from Tiantong satellite communication support to enhance connectivity in areas lacking conventional cellular networks.
The Huawei Nova 16 Pro is priced starting from 3,899 yuan (approximately Rp10.3 million), with storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The highest-capacity 1TB variant is priced at 4,999 yuan (approximately Rp13.3 million). The Nova 16 Ultra is available starting from 4,699 yuan (approximately Rp12.5 million), with the top-tier 12GB RAM and 1TB storage variant priced at 5,799 yuan (approximately Rp15.4 million).
