Huawei Mate X7 Foldable Phone to Debut in Indonesia on March 5, 2026
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Huawei will launch the Huawei Mate X7 to the Indonesian market on March 5, 2026, offering the latest foldable phone with improved design, camera, and durability.
During a product presentation event in Central Jakarta on Friday (February 13), Senior Retail Manager of Huawei Device Indonesia, Edy Supartono, said that the Mate X7 is a foldable phone with excellent durability.
According to him, the Mate X7 has obtained IP58 and IP59 certifications, which indicate the phone’s ability to withstand submersion in water up to two meters and its resistance to high-pressure water jets.
“So this is truly a foldable phone with the highest level of water resistance. With its rating and also optimized for touch when hands are wet or possibly splashed with rainwater, it can still be responsive,” said Edy.
In addition, the Mate X7 is equipped with three rear cameras consisting of a 50 MP RYYB main camera with a variable aperture of f/1.4–4.0 and OIS, a 50 MP macro telephoto camera, and a 40 MP ultrawide camera.
A front camera with a resolution of 8 MP is available on both the outer and inner screens of the device.
The Mate X7 can provide up to 43 percent improved color accuracy with the support of True-to-Color Camera technology, which is claimed to be able to produce photos and videos with more natural colors even in complex lighting conditions.
The device is also equipped with Cinematic Ultra HDR 17.5 EV, variable aperture, and LOFIC sensor to improve light management. He said that this combination of support can make the details of bright and dark areas more balanced.
For long-distance photography needs, the Mate X7 is equipped with a 50 MP macro telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom and the ability to focus up to 12 cm.
The camera system is also supported by artificial intelligence-based features such as AI Remove and AI Best Expression.
The Mate X7 has a thickness of 4.5 mm when unfolded and 9.5 mm when folded.
The phone, which weighs around 236 grams, adopts a book-style foldable design with a sleek body.
The Mate X7 has two LTPO OLED panels with an adaptive refresh rate of 1–120 Hz.
The main screen is 8 inches and the outer screen is 6.49 inches. Both screens have a resolution of 2,444 x 1,080 pixels, with a brightness level of up to 2,500 nits for the main screen and 3,000 nits on the outer screen.
The outer screen is coated with Crystal Armour Kunlun Glass, which is claimed to have scratch resistance up to 16 times and drop resistance up to 25 times better than standard glass.
Huawei installs a 5,600 mAh silicon carbon battery with 66-watt fast charging and 50-watt wireless charging support on the Mate X7.
For connectivity, the Mate X7 supports 4G networks, the latest generation of WiFi, Bluetooth 6.0, and NFC.
The device, which is equipped with a fingerprint sensor, gyroscope, compass, and light sensor, will be available in Brocade White, Nebula Red, and Black colors.
