Huawei Mate X7 foldable phone released in Indonesia; here is its price
Huawei has officially launched its latest foldable smartphone, the Huawei Mate X7, in Indonesia today, Thursday 5 March 2026. The device, which had previously been unveiled globally in late 2025, is now available for purchase on Huawei’s official site and partner marketplaces. The Huawei Mate X7 is the successor to the Huawei Mate X6, released in 2025. As the successor, the phone brings several improvements, notably in design, durability, and the camera system. The Mate X7 features a book-style fold design with a relatively slim body. The device is about 4.5 mm thick when unfolded and 9.5 mm when folded. With these dimensions, the phone remains slim whether used as a standard smartphone or when the screen is fully opened. The Mate X7 weighs around 236 grams, about 4 grams lighter than the Mate X6. With that weight, Huawei claims the Mate X7 remains comfortable to hold for everyday use without feeling too large or heavy. Huawei has also equipped the Mate X7 with enhanced durability for the chassis and display. The inner screen uses a 3-layer Composite Ultra-Tough structure claimed to improve bend resistance by up to 100 percent and impact resistance by up to 20 percent compared with the previous generation. Additionally, the device’s hinge system is designed with a zero-contact approach to help reduce pressure when the device is folded. The Mate X7 also carries IP58 and IP59 certification, described as the highest water-resistance levels in foldable phones. With this certification, the device is claimed to withstand depths of up to 2 metres and resist high-pressure water spray. Huawei has also improved the Mate X7’s camera system. The phone’s camera is designed to deliver more accurate colours, including in complex lighting conditions.
