Huawei Launches MatePad Pro Max in Indonesia, Packed with AI Features to Boost Productivity
During a presentation in Jakarta on Wednesday, the company announced that the Huawei MatePad Pro Max is equipped with a PC-level WPS Office application supporting document processing, spreadsheets, PDFs, and presentations with a laptop-like interface. Huawei has also embedded AI features to help users complete tasks quickly. The device’s AI features include Smart Create, which can automatically generate documents using only text prompts, and PDF Summarize to summarise the contents of PDF files. Additionally, there is a Generate Slides feature to turn notes into presentation materials, and Grammar Polish to correct writing and adjust the writing style according to preferences. To support note-taking needs, the Huawei MatePad Pro Max features the Huawei Notes application, which is equipped with AI Handwriting Enhancement, AI Equation Recognition and Calculation, and Note Replay, which enables automatic transcript creation and speaker identification. In practice, these features can assist users in recording key discussion points in meetings, summarising interviews, and documenting ideas and directives during brainstorming sessions. The Huawei MatePad Pro Max also supports a Live-Multitask feature, allowing up to three application windows to be displayed simultaneously, making the work process more practical and efficient as users do not need to constantly switch between apps. To support creative needs, Huawei has introduced the GoPaint application. The AI-based features of this app include Intelligent Colour Card to extract colours from reference photos and turn them into a colour palette, Splatter Brush to create paint splash effects, Fluid Brush to produce watercolour stroke effects, and Animation to create simple animations from several images. The tablet, with a 13.2-inch screen, is only 4.7 mm thick. It weighs approximately 509 grams for the PaperMatte Edition, making it easy to carry. The device, which combines a full-metal unibody design with Huawei Cloud Falcon Architecture, has a thin and light body yet remains sturdy. The Huawei MatePad Pro Max features a 13.2-inch 3K Flexible OLED PaperMatte Display with a resolution of 3000 × 2000 pixels. The screen-to-body ratio reaches up to 94 per cent, and the bezel is thin, around 3.55 mm, giving the screen an expansive appearance. The tablet’s screen is also designed to be non-reflective, ensuring comfortable viewing under various lighting conditions. In Indonesia, the tablet is available in Blue and Space Gray colour options, with two memory configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB internal storage, and 12GB RAM with 512GB internal storage. The 256GB storage model is priced at Rp19,999,999, while the 512GB variant costs Rp26,999,999. During the promotional period from 22 July to 21 August 2026, consumers can receive various bonuses depending on the chosen variant. The bonuses include a HUAWEI Glide Keyboard or Huawei MatePad Pro Max Folio Cover, Huawei M-Pencil Pro, Huawei Mouse, a one-year subscription to PC-Level WPS AI, a one-year warranty extension, and a PaperMatte screen repair service up to twice within one year.
