Huawei Launches Laptop to Challenge MacBook Neo
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Huawei is reported to have launched a laptop aimed at challenging the MacBook Neo, named the Huawei Qingyun L4<0xA0>20z, equipped with a 2.8K OLED display.
Quoting reports from Huawei Central on Saturday (19/9) local time, this laptop is specifically designed for business use, featuring a variety of high-productivity features.
While the laptop is slightly larger and heavier than Apple’s MacBook Neo, its integrated features serve as its primary strength, particularly for professional users.
In terms of weight, the device weighs 1.32 kilograms with dimensions of 226.8 x 312.6 x 14.5 millimetres. By comparison, the MacBook Neo weighs 1.23 kilograms, making it lighter than the new Huawei laptop.
Nevertheless, the Huawei Qingyun L420z remains a viable alternative to the MacBook Neo due to its performance.
The laptop is available in Space Gray and is powered by two operating system options: Galaxy Kylin OS V10 and Tongxin OS V20.
Regarding display technology, the Huawei Qingyun L420z features a 14.2-inch OLED touchscreen with a 91 per cent screen-to-body ratio, a 3:2 aspect ratio, a resolution of 2880 x 1920 pixels, and a peak brightness of 450 nits.
While Huawei has not yet disclosed the specific chipset details, the laptop promises long-lasting endurance with a 70Wh battery capacity. This battery can last up to 14 hours under normal usage on a single charge, and it supports fast charging, which can provide 25 per cent power in just 15 minutes.
In terms of memory technology, the laptop offers LPDDR5x quad-channel memory and an SSD chip. This technology is paired with metamaterial antennas to ensure ultra-stable connections and a smoother networking experience.
These components enable the laptop to achieve ultra-high read and write speeds, allowing large files to open instantly and heavy applications to run smoothly.
Regarding connectivity, the device supports dual-band 2.5GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi, as well as Bluetooth 5.2.
It also includes an HD webcam, a backlit keyboard, a touchpad, a fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, and dual microphones.
Pricing details have not yet been listed on the official website, though the company is expected to announce them shortly.
