Huawei Launches AI Education Center (AIEC) Solution
Barcelona, Spain — At MWC Barcelona 2026, Huawei held a forum themed “Education + AI, Embracing an Intelligent Future”. During the forum, Huawei, together with customers and industry partners, launched the AIEC (AI Education Center) solution for primary education. The launch of this solution accelerates the widespread dissemination and development of AI education.
At the event, Li Junfeng, Vice President of Huawei and CEO of the Global Public Sector Business Unit, stated that the core of AI education in the future lies in achieving “the easiest access and widest reach”. As a technology driver and ecosystem builder in the digital and intelligent transformation of education, Huawei works with customers and partners to deliver innovative solutions for various scenarios in the AI education sector. One such solution is the AIEC solution for primary education, which accelerates the implementation of widespread AI education in primary and secondary schools. This solution also creates opportunities for every student to explore the technology of the future.
Huawei’s AIEC solution has been developed on the foundation of hardware computing infrastructure, AI model services, application platforms, and teaching management and AI laboratory systems. Through this system, primary education students can obtain comprehensive AI learning, including experimental activities and curriculum resources. This approach helps students develop essential skills for the future whilst building a strong foundation of human resources for technological innovation and national industrial advancement.
Currently, the solution has been deployed in Zhejiang Province, China. Through partnerships with organisations such as CourseGrading, Huawei provides an AI education platform to more than 500 primary and secondary schools. The platform is equipped with AI computing capacity, large open-source based AI models, more than 10 AI practical projects, and more than 50 experimental facilities and applications. In the future, this platform will reach up to one million students.
On the same occasion, Huawei also launched a global pilot project for the AI Education Platform (AIEC) solution with Pui Kiu Middle School. This project demonstrates real-world application of artificial intelligence technology in secondary education. This initiative will drive innovation in the utilisation of AI in education and provide replicable and scalable practice models globally to support digital transformation in the education sector.
Huawei’s AIEC solution represents an important milestone in the synergy between education and artificial intelligence. In the future, Huawei will continue to serve as a technology bridge by building an open ecosystem with global partners, whilst developing the potential of every child and creating a future where equitable education and technological advancement go hand in hand.
