Huabao Indonesia’s commitment to sustainable development has been realised once again through the inauguration of three mosques in three villages surrounding the industrial area of Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi. The social investment allocated for the construction of these places of worship totals Rp11 billion, affirming the synergy between the industrial sector and community empowerment.

The inauguration was carried out directly by the Regent of Morowali, Iksan Baharuddin Abdul Rauf, on Wednesday (18/3). The three mosques inaugurated are:

· Masjid Nurul Hasanah in Tondo Village

· Masjid Nurul Falah in Ambunu Village

· Masjid Raudhatul Jannah in Topogaro Village.

Vice Director of Huabao Indonesia, Gao Chunhua, in his speech, emphasised that the construction of these mosques is not merely about fulfilling worship facilities, but an integral part of the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy.

“The construction of these mosques is part of the company’s commitment to implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes as a form of care for the social and spiritual life of the communities around the company’s operational areas,” said Gao Chunhua.

He added that the presence of the company in an area is not only aimed at building industry and the economy, but must also go hand in hand with social, cultural, and religious development of the community.

“We believe that the success of an industrial area is inseparable from the harmonious relationship between the company, government, and society. Therefore, through this CSR programme, we are committed to continuing to contribute to supporting sustainable development and providing tangible benefits for communities in the industrial ring villages,” he explained.

The Regent of Morowali, Iksan Baharuddin Abdul Rauf, in his speech, expressed high appreciation for the steps taken by Huabao Indonesia. He emphasised that investments and industry must provide real benefits to the community.

“Today, we open our eyes, minds, and especially for the people of Morowali. We see industrial development that certainly does not detach itself from the role of all stakeholders to continue paying attention to social issues,” Iksan stressed.

The Regent highlighted the significant value of the social investment poured into the construction of worship facilities. According to him, the construction of three mosques with a total budget of around Rp11 billion serves as concrete evidence of collaboration between the company and stakeholders.

The inauguration of Masjid Nurul Hasanah in Tondo Village is seen as a symbol that industrial progress in Morowali is not only oriented towards the economy, but also towards the development of human resources and the spiritual well-being of the community.

The Head of Tondo Village, Iwan Bawi, along with the community, expressed deep appreciation. “We thank the company for giving us the best, such as the construction of this facility,” he concluded.
