Huabao has completed the construction of three mosques with a total investment of Rp11 billion, located in the industrial ring area.

MOROWALI - The industrial sector in Morowali has once again demonstrated its commitment to social development. This time, Huabao Indonesia has introduced three new mosques in the industrial ring area as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility and efforts to support the spiritual needs of the local community.

The company has completed the construction of three mosques with a total investment of Rp11 billion. The three are located in Desa Tondo, Desa Ambunu, and Desa Topogaro, namely Masjid Nurul Hasanah, Masjid Nurul Falah, and Masjid Raudhatul Jannah. The inauguration was carried out directly by the Regent of Morowali, Iksan Baharuddin Abdul Rauf, on Wednesday (18/3).

Vice Director of Huabao Indonesia, Gao Chunhua, stated in his speech that the construction of these mosques is part of the company’s commitment to implementing its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

“This is a form of the company’s concern for the social and spiritual life of the community around the company’s operational area,” he said.

Gao Chunhua added that for PT Baoshuo Taman Industry Investment Group Indonesia, the presence of the company is not solely focused on industrial and economic development, but must also align with the social, cultural, and religious development of the local community.

“We believe that the success of an industrial area is inseparable from the harmonious relationship between the company, government, and community. Therefore, through this CSR programme, we are committed to continuing to contribute to supporting sustainable development and providing real benefits to the community in the industrial ring villages. We also express our highest appreciation to the religious figures, mosque construction committees, village governments, and the entire community who have worked together and provided support so that the construction of these mosques can be carried out well. The spirit of togetherness and mutual cooperation is the strong foundation in building a harmonious, religious community full of brotherhood,” he explained while concluding his speech.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Morowali, Iksan Baharuddin Abdul Rauf, expressed appreciation for Huabao Indonesia’s steps in channeling its CSR programme. He also invited all elements of society to continue maintaining togetherness and strengthening collaboration between government, companies, and residents.

According to him, the presence of industrial investment must have a real impact, not only for the government but also for the community around the industrial area.

“Today, we may open our eyes, minds, and especially for the Morowali community. We see industrial development that certainly does not detach itself from the role of all stakeholders to continue paying attention to social issues,” emphasised Iksan.

He also highlighted the significant value of social investment poured into the construction of these places of worship.

“The construction of three mosques with a total budget of around Rp11 billion is real evidence of collaboration between the company and stakeholders,” he stated.

According to him, this budget provides significant impact, especially in providing more adequate worship facilities for Muslims in Morowali. The presence of these new mosques is expected to enhance comfort and devotion for the community in worship.

The inauguration of Masjid Nurul Hasanah in Desa Tondo also serves as a symbol that industrial progress in Morowali is not only oriented towards economic growth but also human resource development and spiritual aspects.

Appreciation also came from the Head of Desa Tondo, Iwan Bawi, representing the local community. “We thank the company for giving us the best, such as the construction of these facilities,” he concluded.
