Jakarta, VIVA – PT Hankook Tire Sales Indonesia (HTSI) has affirmed its optimism in seizing business opportunities in 2026 by strengthening collaboration with its distributor network. This commitment was demonstrated through the Hankook Partners Day held in Bali from 9 to 11 February 2026.

During the event, HTSI presented its sales performance, revealing growth of up to 130 per cent throughout 2025. The primary contribution came from high-inch tyre sales and the electric vehicle segment.

Beyond its focus on product innovation, HTSI President Director Bartek (Byunghak) Choi emphasised the strategic importance of the distributor network in driving the company’s business growth.

“Hankook Tire Indonesia understands the increasingly diverse needs of the Indonesian market as an opportunity to continue innovating and delivering products that are relevant to consumers. The role of the distributor network is crucial to ensuring these products can reach the market optimally,” said Bartek (Byunghak) Choi in a statement on Friday, 20 February 2026.

In 2026, Hankook is focusing its business strategy on three main product lines: electric vehicles, SUVs, and trucks and buses. The company is introducing the iON line, designed to match the characteristics of electric vehicles with a comprehensive portfolio. In the SUV segment, Dynapro serves as a solution designed for various SUV types and terrain conditions.

“Meanwhile, in the truck and bus segment, all products have been equipped with SMARTEC technology to enhance driving safety and comfort, supported by a Total Value Solution service ranging from pre-purchase through to maintenance,” he added.

Hankook also provided a comprehensive presentation on its strategy and product portfolio as part of its commitment to supporting the business growth of its distributor partners.

“I appreciate the support that Hankook has consistently provided to its distributor partners. The presentation gave us a deeper understanding of automotive market developments and helped us identify consumer needs, particularly for tyre products that are relevant to the type and characteristics of vehicles being used,” said Istony Prasetyo, General Manager of PT Nusantara Mitra Ban, Hankook’s distributor for the Central Java region.

Similarly, Sri Gutomo Brahmantyo, General Manager of PT Dwi Mulia Nusantara, distributor for Laufenn — an associate brand of Hankook Tire — in the Central Java region, also outlined strategies to be implemented.
