Amuntai - The Regent of Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU), Sahrujani, praised the compliance of prospective Hajj pilgrims regarding luggage that adheres to international flight regulations for safety and comfort during the journey to the Holy Land. “The results of the inspection by officials show that the majority of pilgrims are relatively compliant in not bringing prohibited items,” he said in Amuntai, HSU Regency, South Kalimantan, on Monday. He appreciated the pilgrims who are now starting to comply by no longer bringing unnecessary items, such as electric cooking equipment, water heaters, and blenders. Nevertheless, he stated that ignorance about which items can be stored in baggage and which cannot still requires education. “We also hope for the role of family members to always remind these departing pilgrims for the smoothness of the journey to the Holy Land,” he said. The Head of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Office in HSU, Hapizi, reported that a total of 501 prospective Hajj pilgrims from HSU this year are divided into three kloter at the Banjarmasin Embarkation. The first batch that has been sent off is 353 prospective Hajj pilgrims in kloter 11, consisting of 153 men and 200 women, accompanied by five officials.
