HSBC, Delta sign deal

JAKARTA (JP): Hong Kong-based bank HSBC Indonesia has secured
a contract to handle cash management for publicly listed brewer
PT Delta Djakarta, the bank said here on Wednesday.

Under the agreement signed on Wednesday, HSBC will provide
cash management services, including account information services
and funds transfers for suppliers, and trade payments as well as
salary transfers to Delta Djakarta.

Delta Djakarta is a member of the Philippine brewery giant San
Miguel Corporation, which produces Anker Bir and Carlsberg Beer
for the domestic market.

HSBC now operates seven branches in Jakarta, Surabaya in East
Java, Bandung in West Java, Semarang in Central Java, Medan in
North Sumatra and Batam in Riau. (cst)
