HRTA strengthens business fundamentals amid gold price correction
Gold manufacturing and trading company PT Hartadinata Abadi Tbk (HRTA) has stated it remains focused on strengthening its business fundamentals to maintain sustainable growth amid a corrective phase in global gold prices. The company is implementing good corporate governance (GCG), risk management, and compliance with all applicable regulations across its supply chain and operational activities. HRTA Director of Investor Relations Thendra Crisnanda viewed the gold price correction as a normal dynamic within the commodity market. He noted that the fundamental factors supporting gold demand remain robust, ranging from geopolitical uncertainty and global interest rate policies to increasing public awareness of gold savings. “The gold price correction is part of market dynamics influenced by various global factors. However, we see that the fundamentals of gold demand remain strong, supported by growing public awareness of gold savings and the development of the bullion ecosystem in Indonesia. Therefore, we remain optimistic about the long-term prospects of the gold industry,” Thendra explained. Gold price movements are influenced by a combination of global and domestic factors. Globally, the Federal Reserve’s decision to hold interest rates, coupled with expectations of a higher-for-longer policy, has strengthened the US dollar and put pressure on gold prices. Simultaneously, geopolitical developments in the Middle East, including the dynamics of US-Iran relations and oil price fluctuations, remain a source of market volatility. Domestically, Bank Indonesia raised its benchmark interest rate through an off-cycle policy to maintain rupiah stability. Nevertheless, high gold demand from global central banks and the continued accumulation of gold reserves are still expected to support the medium- to long-term gold price outlook. Thendra affirmed that the company will also continue to strengthen innovation, product quality, and collaboration with various partners to expand public access to safe and reliable gold savings. “We believe the public’s need for gold will continue to grow along with increasing awareness of the importance of long-term financial planning. Therefore, we will continue to present various innovations so that people can access gold products more easily, safely, and comfortably,” said Thendra. Throughout the first quarter of 2026, HRTA recorded revenue growth of 196.96 percent year-on-year, accompanied by a net profit increase of 189.48 percent. This growth was driven by a 75.18 percent increase in pure gold sales volume, reflecting high public demand for gold products.
