Padang (ANTARA) - PT Hutama Panorama Sitinjau Lauik (HPSL) has ensured that the ongoing land consignment process for the construction of the Sitinjau Lauik Flyover in Padang, West Sumatra, currently being handled in court, will not disrupt physical construction work.

“A portion of the land, particularly community-owned land, is still in the consignment process; however, this has already been handed over to HPSL and construction can proceed,” said the Corporate Secretary of PT HPSL, Lenardo Putra, in Padang on Tuesday.

As the implementing business entity for this Public-Private Partnership (KPBU) project, HPSL has deposited a certain amount of money with the court to carry out the consignment to the community regarding land ownership.

“We have deposited the funds in court, and the court will later pay or hand over the money to the winning party,” he said.

This follows a previous court ruling that released the rights of the community over the 8.49-hectare land area. Currently, those claiming ownership of the land are merely awaiting the court’s decision on who is entitled to receive the funds deposited by HPSL.

“The bottom line is, we can already work because it has become state land,” he emphasised.

He added that in addition to the land acquisition process, which is only expected to be fully completed by 12 May 2026, delays in construction were also caused by the impact of hydrometeorological disasters in late 2025. However, construction work has now returned to normal following the reconnection of the Lembah Anai route, which has automatically reduced the volume of vehicles passing through the Sitinjau Lauik road.
