HP, Infosys introduce Finacle

JAKARTA: Hewlett-Packard and its global partner Infosys
introduced on Tuesday a banking solution called Finacle to help
Indonesian banks transform their information on technology (IT)
systems in meeting changes of demands.

"Demands are changing because Indonesia's banking industry is
facing a complexity of internal and external challenges such the
introduction of new regulations, changes of political leaders and
influences of foreign investment," said HP president director for
Indonesia Elisa Lumbantoruan.

He explained that the Finacle -- with an open-system
technology such as on its core banking solution -- offered
comprehensive functionality across back-office and front-office,
high scalability and integrated costumer relationship management.

He also hoped that HP can be a dominant player in the IT
industry throughout Indonesia. -- JP/004
