How to Pay BPJS Ketenagakerjaan BPU Contributions via BRI ATM
Participants in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan from the non-wage recipient (BPU) group, such as online drivers, farmers, fishermen, small and medium enterprises (UMKM), and freelance workers, can now pay their routine monthly contributions via the cash deposit machines (ATM) of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI. Routine contributions ensure participants receive full protection from Work Accident Insurance (JKK) and Death Insurance (JKM). Contributions are paid monthly by the participants themselves, not by a company or place of work. Currently, the government is slashing BPU BPJS Ketenagakerjaan contributions by 50% to ease the payment burden on participants. This reduction applies to both JKK and JKM programmes. “Through this policy, the government is providing contribution relief so that more BPU workers can be protected, without reducing the benefits received,” said Minister of Manpower Yassierli in an official statement received by Kompas.com on Tuesday (28/4/2026). Thus, they can seek a livelihood with greater peace of mind. “We want to ensure that workers not only receive lighter contributions but also continue to obtain optimal protection,” explained Yassierli.
