How to Obtain the East Java SPMB 2026 PIN: Requirements, Procedure and Full Schedule
The acquisition of a Personal Identification Number (PIN) is a crucial step in the East Java New Student Admission (PPDB) process. The PIN serves as an access key for prospective students to register through various selection pathways, including affirmative action, achievement, and zoning routes. PIN collection for East Java SPMB began today (May 28).
East Java Education Department Head Aries Agung Paewai has advised parents not to panic or rush to obtain the PIN, as the government has allocated time until June 9, 2026.
“There is no need to rush, as the PIN collection period is still lengthy. However, applicants must visit the nearest school recommended by the system for verification and data validation. Ensure the correct location to avoid errors,” Aries stated on Wednesday (May 27).
For those who have graduated from junior high school or equivalent and wish to continue their education at East Java’s public senior high schools or vocational schools, here is a complete guide to the PIN acquisition procedure based on official mechanisms.
Before accessing the system, ensure you have prepared supporting documents as scanned copies or clear photos in JPG/PNG/PDF format (maximum size typically 100-400 KB).
The PIN acquisition process is conducted independently via the official PPDB East Java portal. Follow these steps:
Open a browser and visit ppdb.jatimprov.go.id. Select the ‘Pre-Registration’ menu, then click ‘Get PIN’.
Enter the National School Identification Number (NPSN) of your current school, National Student Identification Number (NISN), and date of birth. Click ‘Login’ to access the system.
Verify the entered report card data. If correct, proceed to upload a copy of your family card (KK). Then, you must pinpoint your home location on the digital map provided. Ensure the coordinates accurately reflect your residential address as per the family card.
After submitting the data, operators from East Java’s senior high schools or vocational schools will conduct digital field verification of the submitted documents and coordinates. This process typically takes 2-3 working days.
Regularly check your application status on the PPDB East Java website. If approved, the PIN will appear and can be downloaded. Keep the PIN secure, as it will be required for logging in during the selection registration phase.
