Exchange must be carried out at the time and location indicated on the booking confirmation.
Exchange cannot be delegated and must be done by the person who made the booking.
Must bring the original ID card or electronic ID card registered on the Digital Population Identity application. The ID card cannot be replaced with other identity cards.
Must show proof of booking, either in digital or printed form.
The money to be exchanged must be sorted by type of denomination and year of issue, arranged in the same direction, and separated between money that is fit for circulation and money that is not fit for circulation.
It is not allowed to use tape, glue, or staples on the money to be exchanged.
Exchange is carried out with the same nominal value as long as the authenticity features of the Rupiah can still be identified.
How to Book an Exchange of Money through PINTAR BI
Here are the steps to book an exchange of new money:
- Access the PINTAR BI website
Open the site pintar.bi.go.id. If the queue is full, the system will display a waiting room containing an estimated waiting time and information on the exchange location.
- Choose the type of service
After entering the main page, select the menu “Rupiah Exchange through Mobile Cash”.
- Choose province and location
Specify the province, then click “See Location” to see the available mobile cash points.
- Determine the exchange schedule
Choose the date and time as desired, then click “Choose”.
- Fill in personal data
Enter your NIK, full name, telephone number, and email address according to your identity, then click “Continue”.
- Input the nominal exchange
Enter the number of banknotes you want to exchange according to the quota. Fill in the captcha, then click “Book”.
- Check the booking summary
The system will display booking details containing the code, location, and amount of money.
- Download the booking confirmation
Click “Download Booking Confirmation” and save the document to be shown during the exchange.
