How to Exchange New Money for 2026 at BCA: Schedule and Locations
Ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah in 2026, demand for currency exchange typically increases among the public. The tradition of distributing new money during Eid prompts many people to seek ways to exchange for new banknotes from BCA before the Islamic holiday.
To meet this demand, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) offers a new banknote exchange service for Eid 2026 at various branch offices. The service allows customers to exchange old notes for smaller denominations or new banknotes where available.
“BCA is committed to providing quality banking services, including ensuring the availability of cash,” Hendra said in an official statement. “We are committed to assisting customers and the public in meeting their needs during Ramadan and Eid, and contributing positively to Indonesia’s economic growth,” he added.
The available currency for exchange comprises Small Denomination Notes (UPK) in Fit for Circulation (ULE) condition and new notes if still available.
However, the public should note that the currency exchange process at BCA cannot be done directly at branch offices. Exchange must be completed following prior online registration.
Registration is conducted through Bank Indonesia’s PINTAR system. This system allows customers to select the schedule and location for new banknote exchange at BCA according to available quotas.
After registration, customers must bring proof of booking (printed or digital) and a valid identity card matching the registered name. Without proof of registration and matching identification, the exchange cannot be processed.
By following these steps, the public can conduct new banknote exchange for Eid 2026 in a more orderly and scheduled manner.
The various branches are spread across several regions in Indonesia, ranging from Java, Sumatra, Bali, to Kalimantan and Sulawesi.
Customers can only exchange currency at the branch selected during registration and according to available quotas. The service began in late February 2026 and is scheduled to run until 13 March 2026.
