Jakarta — One of the requirements for applying for a home loan is a good credit score. Indonesians can now check their loan status, repayment history and creditworthiness themselves through a formal online service. However this checking is no longer performed via Bank Indonesia’s BI Checking service, but has shifted to a new system called SLIK (Sistem Layanan Informasi Keuangan), fully managed by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) since 2018. Access to checks is free for all citizens via the official portal iDebku at idebku.ojk.go.id. The platform is connected directly to OJK’s headquarters and all regional offices, ensuring data is accurate, centralised and legally valid.
Through this service, citizens can view the entire record of debts registered under their name, from banks, financing companies, and fintech lenders.
What information is in SLIK?
The reports received include a detailed record of all credit facilities ever held, including:
Working Capital Credit (Kredit Modal Kerja)
Motor Vehicle Credit (Kredit Kendaraan Bermotor)
Home Purchase Credit (KPR) or Apartment Financing
Investment Credit (Kredit Investasi)
Unsecured Credit (Kredit Tanpa Agunan, KTA)
Credit Cards
Secured lending (gold, deposits, or other assets)
Repayment history and status (on-time, less than on-time, doubtful, or default)
This information is crucial as it serves as the primary reference for banks or financial institutions when applying for new loans, credit cards, or for insurance or business capital purposes.
Complete Guide to Checking SLIK and iDebku Online
Here is a step‑by‑step guide to register and check, with explanations to make it easier to follow:
Stage 1: Account Registration & Application Submission
Open a browser on your mobile or computer, then go to the official address https://idebku.ojk.go.id
On the home page, select the Registration button
Enter the Check Service Availability menu
Fill in initial data:
Debtor Type (Individual or Corporate)
Nationality (WNI or WNA)
Identity Type (KTP or Passport)
Identity number as per document
Enter the security Captcha code, then click Next. If you receive a notification that the queue quota is full, this means the daily number of applicants has been reached. Try again during quieter times, such as early morning before working hours or in the evening. The system opens new quota each day.
Continue to fill in full personal data: name as stated on the identity document, gender, place and date of birth, full address, province, regency/c city, active email address, and a phone number that can be reached
Select the purpose of the information request (e.g., personal use, loan application, or data verification) and enter the mother’s maiden name
Click Next to proceed to the document upload stage
Upload photos of the required documents, ensure each file is no more than 4 MB and the images are clear and not blurry:
Photo of the identity document (KTP/Passport)
Photo of yourself holding the identity document
Photo of yourself according to the on‑screen example
Ensure all text on documents is clearly readable, because blurred documents may cause the application to be rejected
After all documents are uploaded, click Next
Click Submit Application. Ensure the email address you entered is correct, because the SLIK report results will be sent directly to that email
You can still amend data if there are errors by pressing Back. If everything is correct, tick the box confirming the accuracy of the data and consent to the OJK terms and conditions
Finally click Submit Application
A confirmation notification stating Registration Successful will appear. Do not forget to copy or note the registration number provided, as this code is required to check subsequent processing statuses.
Stage 2: How to Check Status of the Application
Return to the home page of idebku.ojk.go.id
Press the Service Status button
Enter the registration number you saved earlier
The system will display the stages of your application. Under OJK rules, the report results are sent to your email within one working day after registration is accepted and verified.
