How to Check Your Name for the August 2026 PKH and Sembako Programme Social Assistance

The government has begun distributing social assistance (bansos) for the Family Hope Programme (PKH) and the Sembako Programme, also known as Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT), at the end of July 2026. This marks the third disbursement phase of 2026.

According to information from the official Instagram account of the Ministry of Social Affairs, @kemensosri, the PKH social assistance programme has been running since 2007. Meanwhile, the Sembako Programme is a transformation of the BPNT, which was previously called the Rastra Subsidy.

Both types of social assistance are targeted at people who fall into deciles 1-4 of the National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN). Meanwhile, people in decile 5 can be proposed as recipients of the Health Insurance Contribution Assistance (PBI-JK).

There are two ways to check whether you are a recipient. First, through the Ministry of Social Affairs’ Cek Bansos website. Second, via the Cek Bansos application. You only need to know the 16-digit National Identity Number (NIK) printed on your Identity Card (KTP), along with a device and internet access.

To check via the Cek Bansos Kemensos website, open the site at cekbansos.kemensos.go.id. Enter your NIK in the provided field, complete the captcha, and click ‘Cari Data’. The website will display the recipient’s name, decile, and the status of three types of social assistance. To check via the application, download the Cek Bansos app, enter your NIK, and press ‘Cari Data’. The app will show your name, decile, and the status of the various programmes. If the status shows ‘Ya’, you are a recipient.

The Ministry of Social Affairs does not set a fixed date for disbursement. As this is the third phase, covering the period of July to September, the assistance is distributed through banks and post offices. Recipients are advised to coordinate with local leaders and periodically check their accounts.

The amount of PKH assistance varies by category: pregnant women and children aged 0-6 receive Rp 750,000 per phase; primary school students receive Rp 225,000; junior high school students receive Rp 375,000; senior high school students receive Rp 500,000; the elderly and persons with severe disabilities receive Rp 600,000; and victims of gross human rights violations receive Rp 2,700,000. The Sembako Programme provides Rp 200,000 per month, totalling Rp 600,000 for the three-month phase.
