News of social assistance disbursements is once again attracting attention. The government has confirmed that the second phase of assistance under the Family Hope Programme (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) for 2026 will begin distribution from the second week of April. At the same time, recipient data has been updated. This means that not all previously registered names will continue to receive assistance. Therefore, the public is advised to promptly check the recipients of PKH BPNT phase 2 for 2026 to confirm their latest status. Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf stated that data updates are now conducted routinely on the 10th of each month and are immediately used as the basis for distribution. “So for this second quarter, it starts from the second week of April,” he said. With this scheme, the verification and distribution process becomes faster, allowing funds to reach deserving community members more quickly. Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Amalia Adininggar explained that removals occur due to inclusion errors, namely recipients who are no longer in the poor or vulnerable category. Nevertheless, the government has also added around 25,000 new Beneficiary Families (KPM) from the latest verification results. This means that social assistance data is dynamic and can change according to the economic conditions of the community.
