How to Check Land Certificates Online, Practically Directly from Your Mobile Phone
With just a mobile phone, the public can now check land certificates online through the Sentuh Tanahku application.
The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) deliberately launched the application to make it easier for the public to access information on land certificate data.
“Digitalisation of land services is an important step to increase transparency and facilitate the public in accessing information,” explained the Director General of Land and Spatial Survey and Mapping of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Virgo Eresta Jaya, quoted from Kompas.com, Friday (27/3/2026).
Checking land certificates via Sentuh Tanahku
For information, the Sentuh Tanahku application has features to search for analogue (physical) land certificates and electronic certificates.
The system then displays the location of the land plot on the map, but there will be no data on the area or the name of the owner of the land plot.
PP 34/2016 already regulates inheritance tax, the payment of which is imposed on the heirs or parties who will subsequently have rights to the land or building.
