The BLT Kesra, which was distributed by the government in 2025, is once again a hot topic among the public. This is triggered by circulating information on social media claiming the disbursement of this social assistance (bansos) in mid-April. So, is BLT Kesra really being disbursed again in April 2026? Read the full explanation below.
As public needs increase, BLT Kesra has become one of the programmes eagerly awaited because it can help alleviate the economic burden on households. Therefore, many questions are emerging regarding the schedule for this bansos disbursement.
Nevertheless, it is important to ensure that all information comes from official sources to avoid misinformation, especially regarding BLT Kesra, given the rapid spread of fake news or hoaxes on social media.
Understanding BLT Kesra
According to the website of the Indonesian Presidential Secretariat, in 2025 the government officially launched the Direct Cash Assistance for People’s Welfare (BLT Kesra) programme aimed at increasing public purchasing power while strengthening national economic growth.
In its implementation, this assistance was distributed to 35,046,783 Beneficiary Families (KPM) and successfully reached around 140 million people consisting of one family, including father, mother, and two children.
In addition, BLT Kesra is an additional bansos distributed outside the regular BLT, both the Family Hope Programme (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT/Food Card).
The disbursement of BLT Kesra itself is temporary in nature. This means the bansos is not disbursed every month as it is part of additional bansos outside the regular monthly bansos.
The Amount of BLT Kesra Received
Based on the Minister of Social Affairs Decree Number 239/HUK/2025 Concerning the Disbursement of Temporary Direct Cash Assistance for People’s Welfare, BLT Kesra is given at Rp300,000 per month for each KPM.
This assistance is disbursed for three consecutive months, so the total aid received can reach Rp900,000. The disbursement is scheduled for October, November, and December.
The disbursement mechanism is carried out in stages, not all at once. This aims to ensure that the aid funds can be used more effectively for daily needs such as food and other essentials.
Meanwhile, citing the same Presidential Secretariat website, the monthly disbursement of BLT Kesra is carried out by the government through two schemes: the State-Owned Banks Association (Himbara) and PT Pos Indonesia.
BLT Kesra 2026 Recipients
Still sourced from the same source, recipients of BLT Kesra are determined based on the National Social and Economic Single Data (DTSEN) and target the public in decile categories 1 to 4. Therefore, it can be concluded that BLT Kesra recipients must meet the following general requirements, among others:
Indonesian Citizens (WNI)
Registered in DTSEN
Part of decile categories 1, 2, 3, and 4
Passed verification and validation of Kemensos data
What is Decile?
Referring to the DTSEN website, a decile is a grouping of family welfare levels calculated based on various dynamic socio-economic indicators, which can be updated if the recorded data does not reflect the actual conditions. Updates can be made through village or sub-district governments, social services, or the Cek Bansos application by entering data according to real conditions. Subsequently, the decile calculation will be updated periodically by BPS.
Decile Order 1-10
The determination of deciles is regulated in the Minister of Social Affairs Decree Number 79/HUK/2025 concerning the Determination of Family Welfare Ranking as the basis for social assistance disbursement and social welfare programmes under the Ministry of Social Affairs.
Based on the publication from the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, here is the division of deciles 1 to 10:
Decile 1: households in the bottom 10% group (very poor).
Decile 2: households in the 10-20% bottom group (poor).
Decile 3: households in the 20-30% bottom group (nearly poor).
Decile 4: households in the 30-40% bottom group (vulnerable to poverty).
Deciles 5-6: households in the 40-60% group.
Deciles 7-10: households in the top 30% group.
Decile Status Determining Bansos
Referring to information from the Krandengan village website, an individual’s decile status can determine the type of assistance received. Here are some bansos programmes based on decile groups:
Deciles 1-4: Family Hope Programme (PKH)
Deciles 1-4: Staple Food/Non-Cash Food Assistance Programme (BPNT)
Deciles 1-5: Health Insurance Premium Assistance (PBI-JK) (or through assessment)
