The Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Task Force (Satgas PRR) for Sumatra states that it is ensuring the distribution of life guarantee aid (jadup) and other social assistance (bansos) to affected communities continues with the principles of targeting the right recipients, accountability, and based on field data.

As of 13 April 2026, Satgas PRR records the distribution of social assistance from the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos), including jadup, housing contents, and economic stimulus, continues to be widely disbursed in Aceh, North Sumatra (Sumut), and West Sumatra (Sumbar).

In Aceh Province, the aid distribution reaches various districts and cities with significant values. Pidie Jaya District received a total of Rp123.66 billion, followed by East Aceh at Rp37.68 billion, and Central Aceh at Rp27.14 billion. Meanwhile, other areas such as Bener Meriah, Nagan Raya, and Subulussalam City also received aid worth billions of rupiah.

In Sumut, bansos are distributed to various regions such as South Tapanuli with a total of Rp14.61 billion, Langkat at Rp8.51 billion, and Humbang Hasundutan reaching Rp3.62 billion. In Sumbar, the aid distribution includes, among others, Padang Panjang City at Rp81.81 billion, Padang Pariaman Rp9.18 billion, and Lima Puluh Kota Rp6.75 billion.

Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf stated that the distribution of social assistance is carried out continuously without interruption as long as recipient data is available and validated.

“Post-disaster social assistance continues to be distributed. There is no holiday; as soon as the data is available, we distribute it immediately,” said Saifullah Yusuf during the distribution of phase II aid in Aceh Tamiang District, Thursday (10/4).

Specifically in Aceh Tamiang, the total aid distributed has reached Rp205.18 billion, covering jadup, housing contents, economic stimulus, up to compensation for deceased and seriously injured victims.

In the second phase, the aid distributed amounted to Rp76.68 billion, with details of life guarantee assistance for 20,908 individuals worth Rp28.22 billion, housing contents assistance for 5,941 household heads at Rp17.82 billion, social economic stimulus for 5,491 household heads worth Rp29.70 billion, and compensation for seriously injured victims for 187 individuals at Rp935 million.

Saifullah emphasised that all assistance is distributed based on data that has been strictly verified by local governments together with related parties, to ensure the aid reaches the right targets.

Previously, the Head of Satgas PRR, Muhammad Tito Karnavian, emphasised that all aid distribution mechanisms are carried out through a bottom-up data-based approach from local governments, to ensure the aid is truly received by entitled communities.

“The speed in providing assistance, whether for damaged houses, individuals, furniture, daily necessities money, and also economic stimulus, uses a bottom-up mechanism from data collection by district/city governments. Some are fast, some are slow,” said Tito in Jakarta, Wednesday (25/3).

Tito explained that the difference in the speed of aid distribution in each area is due to variations in the speed of data collection and submission from local governments. According to him, recipient data must go through a multi-layered verification process, starting from local governments to the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), as well as field validation by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) to ensure no errors or duplicate data occur.

“We found duplicate data in the field. Therefore, verification is very important to ensure aid reaches the right targets,” said Tito.
