Police have revealed several suspected attempts by the perpetrators of the acid attack on Wakil Koordinator KontraS, Andrie Yunus, to erase their tracks after carrying out the assault. CCTV footage analysis shows that the perpetrators not only fled the scene but also allegedly employed various methods to mislead investigators. Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, stated that one of the suspects was captured on camera changing clothes while escaping. In addition to changing outfits, the perpetrators are suspected of discarding several items to remove traces. At the scene, police found a container used to carry the liquid and a helmet believed to belong to one of the suspects. These steps are thought to have been taken to eliminate evidence that could lead to the suspects’ identities. CCTV recordings also show the perpetrators fleeing by scattering in different directions. From the two motorcycles used, one headed towards Senen via Jalan Kramat Raya. Afterwards, the suspects were known to disperse to various locations, from Kalibata and Pancoran to Ragunan and Pasar Minggu. Some are even suspected of fleeing outside Jakarta, specifically to Bogor. The incident was captured on dozens of CCTV cameras.
