How the Murder of a Pakistani National Couple in Puncak, Bogor Was First Revealed
Police explained how the initial discovery of the murder of a Pakistani couple, Mohammad Afzal (56) and Firza Afzal (47), in Cisarua, Bogor, West Java, came about. Initially, police received information from the public.
‘There were members of the public who came to Cisarua Police Station to report unusual activity: a shop that normally opens every day was not open at all,’ said Bogor Police Chief AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto, on Tuesday (3 March 2026).
The residents who knew the victims then checked their house. However, the house was empty and locked when checked.
‘But initial information indicated there were bloodstains. The residents reported to the head of Cisarua Police Station, which was followed up with a direct check at the scene (TKP),’ he said.
The police then conducted investigations at the scene. A number of witnesses were questioned until pointing to one man believed to be the murderer.
‘He is a 22-year-old man from Batu Layang Village, Cisarua District,’ he stated.
Police then checked the suspect’s house. When checked, one of the suspect’s cars was at the victim’s house. The suspect was then promptly restrained and taken to the police station for questioning.
‘Who, after committing the murder, tried to blur … to hide the bodies by taking both bodies to Padalarang, in West Bandung Regency,’ he added.
There are machete wounds and gunshots. Previously, the Pakistani couple Mohammad Afzal (56) and Firza Afzal (47) in Cisarua, Bogor, were killed by their employee. There were machete wounds and gunshot injuries on the victims.
Police Chief says the murder occurred on Sunday (1/3) night. In the afternoon, the perpetrator had waited for the arrival of the victims.
‘The perpetrator also came to the house carrying a machete and also an air rifle,’ said Wikha.
On the husband’s body, there were slash wounds and two cuts to the neck. Meanwhile the wife’s body was found with five hack wounds to the neck and head.
‘There were also several bullet marks from the air rifle on the head of one of the victims,’ he added.
