How Much E-Toll Balance Should Be Prepared from Semarang to Jakarta?
JAKARTA - Toll road users planning a journey from Semarang to Jakarta need to ensure their electronic money (e-toll) balance is sufficient, particularly during the 2026 Lebaran return period. According to an official statement from PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, the toll fare for a continuous journey from Kalikangkung Toll Gate (GT) to Cikampek Utama GT for group I vehicles is originally Rp 467,500. However, during certain return flow periods, this fare receives a discount. Jasa Marga is providing a 30 per cent toll fare discount for two days during the return period, namely from Thursday, 26 March 2026 at 00:00 WIB to Friday, 27 March 2026 at 24:00 WIB. With this discount, the fare for the journey from Semarang (GT Kalikangkung) to Jakarta (GT Cikampek Utama) drops to Rp 304,150 from the normal Rp 467,500, meaning users can save Rp 163,350. “This policy is a form of the Company’s commitment to improving services to road users as well as an expression of care for the community that aligns with the implementation of ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) principles and lightens the travel cost burden for users,” said Rivan, quoted from the official statement, Thursday (26/03/2026). This toll fare discount only applies to road users making continuous journeys (barrier gate to barrier gate) and meeting several requirements. Users must use the same electronic money card for entry (tap in) and exit (tap out) transactions, and ensure the balance is sufficient. Rivan also emphasised the importance of complete transaction data so that the discount can be applied. Therefore, for road users planning a journey from Semarang to Jakarta, it is recommended to prepare a minimum balance of Rp 304,150 during the discount period, or Rp 467,500 outside that period, to ensure the journey remains smooth without interruptions at the toll gates.
