How Many Days for the 2027 Eid Collective Leave? Check the Estimated Number of Idul Fitri Holidays!
For Indonesians, the long Idul Fitri holiday is eagerly awaited, as it brings together many sources of joy in a single moment.
After a full month of fasting, Muslims can once again eat and drink normally. Idul Fitri is also synonymous with family gatherings, reconnecting relatives who may rarely see one another.
For followers of other faiths, Eid remains a cheerful occasion. The holidays allocated by the government last more than a single day, allowing families to travel together — not to mention the discounts and festive Eid treats on offer everywhere.
So, how many national holidays and collective leave days will there be for Eid 2027? Here is what we know.
Estimated National Holidays for Eid 2027
Each year, the government sets national holidays and collective leave through a Joint Ministerial Decree (SKB 3 Menteri). As of Monday (14 September 2026), no official decree for 2027 has yet been issued.
The national holidays for Eid 2027 are expected to total two days, in line with the decrees for 2025 and 2026, which each allocated two national holidays for Eid.
When exactly is Eid 2027? Muhammadiyah’s Single Global Hijri Calendar (KHGT) for 1448 H places 1 Syawal on Tuesday, 9 March 2027. Meanwhile, the Alhabib 2027 calendar converts 1 Syawal 1448 H to Wednesday, 10 March 2027.
Based on those projected dates, the two national holidays for Eid 2027 are predicted to be:
Tuesday, 9 March 2027: National holiday for Idul Fitri 1448 H
Wednesday, 10 March 2027: National holiday for Idul Fitri 1448 H
Estimated Collective Leave for Eid 2027
What about collective leave? The 2025 decree set four collective leave days after Idul Fitri, whilst the 2026 decree allocated one day before Eid and two days after.
The collective leave days for Eid 2027 are projected to fall on:
Monday, 8 March 2027: Collective leave for Idul Fitri 1448 H
Thursday, 11 March 2027: Collective leave for Idul Fitri 1448 H
Friday, 12 March 2027: Collective leave for Idul Fitri 1448 H
Predicted Long Weekend for Eid 2027
If the projections above prove accurate, the Eid 2027 long weekend would run as follows:
Saturday, 6 March 2027: Weekend holiday
Sunday, 7 March 2027: Weekend holiday
Monday, 8 March 2027: Collective leave for Idul Fitri 1448 H

Friday, 12 March 2027: Collective leave for Idul Fitri 1448 H
Saturday, 13 March 2027: Weekend holiday
Sunday, 14 March 2027: Weekend holiday
It should be noted that this list of holidays is only an estimate. The actual figures must await the 2027 Joint Ministerial Decree, which is usually released in the final quarter of the current year.
