How Kalideres Terminal Monitors Ticket Price Manipulation Ahead of Exodus
Jakarta (ANTARA) – Kalideres Terminal in West Jakarta is updating ticket price information online to prevent price manipulation at ticket counters.
Nur Prasetyo, head of Kalideres Terminal, stated in Jakarta on Monday that ticket price lists are regularly updated and accessible to the public through a barcode link on the terminal’s Instagram social media account.
“We use a barcode that’s on our social media. Whenever there’s a price change, we update the information as much as possible. The aim is to prevent offline ticket price manipulation whilst ensuring transparency of access,” Nur said.
In addition to providing the ticket price list online, the terminal will also print the price list and display it at various points throughout the terminal.
“We plan to print and place the price list at certain points within the terminal,” Nur explained.
“So if prospective passengers find a price that matches the online information but it’s different at the counter, just report it to the terminal. I will then call the bus operator,” he added.
Nur further stated that inter-city inter-province (AKAP) bus ticket prices for mudik at Kalideres Terminal in West Jakarta remain normal as the third week of Ramadan approaches.
“For now, prices are still stable and there are no significant increases,” he said.
Although not yet showing significant increases, Nur acknowledged that ticket price increases are common ahead of Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
